This morning I got up and attempted to make waffles (straight from The Junior Cook book. Do you remember you gave me that book for my birthday a long time ago, Danielle & Lauren?). But my attempts were swiftly cut short upon the inspection of the fridge and pantry which were lacking in almost every single ingredient I needed to make the waffles. So since I was still in my 'sleeping clothes' and Mum was already about to head out to the markets I requested politely that she please get two instant pancake mixes from Coles to which she surprisingly acquiesced. (Oh the lovely mother I have).
So I made blueberry and maple syrup pancakes all morning. Topped with butter and ice cream. Yes yum.
Tonight Dad and us girls [and the boy's sporadically] watched Emma. I think Mr Knightley's proposal is my favourite out of all the Jane Austen proposals. Quote: "Marry me? Marry me, my wonderful, darling friend." Or maybe it's just because Jeremy Northam's acting is just so wonderful at this point. Whatever the reason I have yet to be convinced otherwise that this is not the most lovely, tenderest proposal seen an Austen film yet. Somebody contradict me. :)
P.S Does anyone want to make a rule that in our little group here at dreamwidth we are hereby forbidden to use the term "Lol" to express our humour and fits of laughter on any given subject?! I'm sure I use it more than ANY of you and I was tempted to use it before but then I realized how fed up with that over used term I really was and thought to make mention of it.
See, all it takes is one dose of Austen I'm off ranting in an English accent or writing in a similar style. I'm not going to be ashamed though because I'm quite enjoying it rather. So much nicer than that instant gab, gab, gab over at FB (are those initials forbidden here also? :D)
I love you all! Have a happy Sunday, I believe and surely hope that I will be seeing some of you tomorrow.
P.S Go watch yourselves an Austen this weekend. You know you'll love it!
P.P.S Brilliant idea moving here, Danielle.
